Tax Rate
Midland Tax Rate is $.14 per $100 of tax value. This rate includes fire protection and garbage service.
Trash Collection
Garbage pickup occurs once a week on Wednesdays. Please see the Town calendar or News Flashs area (located on home page) for holiday impacts.The Town of Midland does not collect white goods and bulky items but holds quarterly events for collecting these. Contact Allied Waste at 704-393- 6900 for bulky/white goods pickups or contact the county landfill at 704-920-2950.The county landfill is located at 4441 Irish Potato Rd., Concord. Call Town Hall for: Missed pick ups and other service problems, how to prepare recyclables or refuse for collections, missed or stolen recycling bins and special services. Citizens with disabilities can request back door pick ups by signing up with the Town Clerk.
Town citizens may put by, or on top of their rollout container 3 extra bags of household trash.Do not put construction or bulky items in the bags.
The Town also provides curbside recycling. If you live in the city limits and do not have a recycling bin, please contact Town Hall 704-888-2232. For information and instructions on preparing recyclables see the recycling flyer located in the document center on this website and call Town Hall for any additional questions for preparation.
